How our guides are produced
Our guides are drafted with AI assistance, then edited and fact-checked by our team against reputable clinical sources. Those sources include the TFOS DEWS II report, peer-reviewed literature, and guidance from Australian professional bodies such as Optometry Australia and RANZCO. We aim for accuracy and plain language, and we update guides as the evidence changes.
Clinical review
Some guides carry a "Clinically reviewed by" byline. That byline means the guide has been checked by the named registered practitioner, whose credentials are shown alongside their name.
Guides without that byline haven't yet had clinical review. They have been edited and fact-checked by our team, but a named clinician hasn't signed off on them. We're progressively having all of our guides reviewed by registered practitioners, and we add the byline to each guide once that review is complete.
